If you want to charge your Dell 120 laptop computer battery outside of the case of the laptop computer, you will need to purchase a Dell external battery charger. This allows you to charge your battery even if you don't actually have your laptop computer present. The external battery charger plugs into any available wall outlet and charges your battery in the same amount of time it would normally take if charged in the normal way.
Instructions
1. Connect the power cable that came with your Dell external battery charger to a wall outlet.
2. Plug the other end of the power cable into the Dell external battery charger. This provides the charger with the electricity it needs to charge your battery.
3. Plug the cable that runs off of your Dell external battery charger into the input on the front of your Dell laptop battery. This input is typically where your battery connects to the inside of your laptop. Once connected, a red light will illuminate on the base of the charger. This indicates the battery is charging. When the light turns green, the battery is charged.
