Specs From The Hewlett packard Zd7000 Laptop

Hewlett Packard released its Pavilion ZD7000 notebook in the early 2000s as a compact and portable alternative to a desktop computer. The inclusion of various multimedia software and a combination optical DVD and CD drive made it ideal for users who work with images or video.


Physical Dimensions


The Pavilion ZD7000 notebook from HP has a weight of 9.3 pounds. It measures 15.67 inches in length and 10.94 inches in width. The height ranges between 1.67 inches in the front and 1.85 inches in the rear of the machine.


CPU


The central processing unit on this notebook computer is a Intel Pentium 4 2.8GHz processor. This CPU has as frequency of 533 MHz. The processor uses Intel's L2 cache technology and has a cache capacity of 512 KB. The display has a diagonal length of 17 inches.


Memory


HP's ZD7000 notebook is compatible with DDR SDRAM that runs at a frequency of 333 MHz. The computer comes with two-256 MB memory modules installed; the user can upgrade to the maximum memory capacity of 2048 MB RAM by installing two-1-124 MB (1 GB) memory modules.


Storage


This notebook's internal hard drive has a maximum capacity of 60 GB. The drive connects to the motherboard via IDE connectors and spins at 5400 RPM. The laptop does not contain a floppy drive; however, HP offers an external floppy drive for consumers who wish to purchase it. In addition to this, there is a combination DVD+R/RW and CD-RW combo drive for reading and burning CDs and DVDs.


Ports


This computer is equipped with four USB 2.0 ports for devices such as audio players or cameras. There is a single VGA port for use with an external monitor. One phone cord port and Ethernet (LAN) port can provide Internet connections while users can connect the notebook to a television using the S-Video port. Finally, this notebook is compatible with FireWire devices via the EEE 1394 port.

The following software is available with the HP ZD7000 notebook: Microsoft Windows XP Media Center Edition, Microsoft Windows Media Player, Microsoft MovieMaker, HP Image Zone, MusicMatch Jukebox, Roxio Easy CD & DVD Creator, Muvee AutoProducer, Microsoft Outlook Express, Microsoft Internet Explorer, Microsoft Money, Microsoft Encarta Online Deluxe, Quicken New User Edition and InterVideo WinDVD. There are also trial versions of Symantec Norton Antivirus 2003 and AOL Internet service.
