Convert your monitor into a touchscreen.
The allure of the touchscreen monitor is high, as all of the latest technology features one. Even so, these devices are often expensive and out of the price range of most. Thankfully, you can create your own touchscreen monitor by using a conversion kit that turns any LCD monitor into a working touchscreen.
Instructions
1. Purchase a touchscreen converter that fits your computer monitor. Check your computer monitor's manual for the true size of the monitor.
2. Unpack the touchscreen converter and ensure all the components are there. Refer to the included manual to make sure you have what you should. Use the included clamps to attach the touchscreen converter to the side edge of the monitor. Make sure it's tight and secure.
3. Install the drivers and software that comes with the touchscreen converter. If there's no install disc, go to the manufacturer website to obtain and install the needed software and drivers. Restart the computer to complete the install.
4. Plug the included USB cable into the touchscreen converter and then into an open USB port on your computer. You may have to restart the computer. Start the software for touchscreen interaction.
5. Test the touchscreen with the included stylus. Make sure everything is in working condition and that your stylus is tracking correctly.
