Upload Digital Photos From The Camera Using Media Player

Digital cameras can be amazing and convenient. You can take pictures of anything that your heart desires. Having a photographic record of your memories makes sense when you want to show the world what you are proud of. When it becomes the time to pull your pictures, you may want to make them larger or get rid of the ones you don't want to keep. You may also want to add graphics and other fun stuff. The ultimate purpose is to get your pictures onto your computer so you can delete them from the camera.

Instructions

1. Attach the digital camera to your computer using the connection cord, which is usually a USB cord. Turn on the power to the camera.

2. Select "Microsoft Scanner and Camera Wizard" from the AutoPlay pop-up box. Click "OK." This will start the wizard.

3. Click "Next" when the window opens. This brings up every picture stored in your camera's memory. The wizard page will now say "Choose Pictures to Copy."

4. Click on any of the green checked boxes next to the pictures that you do not want to keep. This will remove the green check from the box. You can also flip your pictures around if they are sideways shots by clicking on the picture and then clicking one of the two rotation icons. When you are finished adjusting and reviewing, click "Next."

5. Type a name for the folder that will hold these pictures (e.g., "Birthday Party"). Click the "Browse" button and choose the location for the folder. To delete the pictures from your camera when you're done, make sure you click the box to select "Delete pictures from my device after copying."

6. Click "Next" on this page, and then "Finish" on the final wizard page. When downloading is complete, unhook your camera from your computer, if desired.

7. Click "Start" from your computer's desktop task bar. Select "All Programs," and then select the Windows Media Player program from the list.

8. Click "Library" on the top bar of the player. Move your mouse all the way over to the left and click the little icon with a black drop-down arrow. It's located directly underneath the page navigation arrows. Select "Pictures" from the drop-down menu.

9. Click "Create Playlist" and type a name in the box. Press the "Enter" button to make the change. Double click the new playlist, then click "All Pictures" from the left side menu.

10. Select and drag your pictures to the right-side pane to add them to your new playlist. When you're done, click "Save Playlist."
