Cleaning old 45 records can sound a bit challenging. However, with the proper steps, your records can sound brand new in a matter of a few minutes. If your records are becoming dingy, dull or the sound quality is suffering, it is time that they received a good cleaning. The sound will improve and your records will look shiny once again.
Instructions
1. Purchase Aslan Record Cleaner or its equivalent. You may be able to find a record cleaner from a music store in your local area. However, the Aslan Record Cleaner is only available online. You can buy this product from Boogiebobs Records. If you decide to use another record cleaner, make sure to read all instructions carefully.
2. Spray a small amount of Aslan Record Cleaner on your old 45 record. Take one of the soft washcloths and rub the cleaner in. Start from the top and work your way around to the middle. You will want to use a circular motions going clockwise over the record. Make sure you a flowing with the grain of the record. Once the first side is complete, move on to step 3.
3. Use the second soft washcloth to dry the record. Use the same circular motion as in step 2. Start from the top and work your way down to the center. Once that side of the record is dry and shiny, repeat step 2 for the other side of the record.
4. Repeat steps 2 and 3, if the record is not completely clean.
