Listen to music with your MP3 player.
Many cell phones contain a built-in MP3 player. This allow you to take some of your music files with you while on the go (a cell phone MP3 player typically does not have the same storage capacity as most standalone, portable music systems). It is possible to transfer music files to the MP3 player with iTunes, providing the audio files are not directly downloaded from the iTunes music store. (These files are write-protected to prevent you from copying the information)., whereas music ripped from music CDs are completely find to copy over).
Instructions
1. Navigate to the cell phone manufacturing page, then choose "Support," "Drivers and Downloads" and click the link for the cell phone you are using. Click the operating system on the computer and select the link to download the cell-phone driver to the computer. Not all cell phone websites offer the exact same phrasing.
2. Double-click the downloaded driver to open the installation wizard. Follow the on- screen steps to install the driver on your computer.
3. Plug a USB data cable into the power port on the cell phone and insert the other end of the cable in one of the USB ports on the computer.
4. Click "Start," "(My) Computer," then double-click the cell phone icon. Choose the "Music" folder, then leave it open for the time being.
5. Launch iTunes and select the "Music" tab in the upper left corner of the window. This brings up all the audio tracks installed on the computer.
6. Click and drag the audio files from the iTunes window into the open music folder. Once copying of the files is completed, close out the window, right-click the cell phone icon and choose "eject." Disconnect the cell phone from the computer once the icon has disappeared.
