Use the Philips GoGear's USB adapter to connect it with your computer.
Philips GoGear is a line of portable media players that allow you to enjoy music, video and more while traveling or working out. While you can synchronize--or sync--your favorite songs and albums onto Philips GoGear players through Songbird, the units' media management utility, you may also use your handset as a storage drive. Philips GoGear storage drive use allows you to transfer any kind of file between devices such as computers and other USB-capable hardware.
Instructions
1. Connect the Philips GoGear player to your computer. Insert one end of the Philips GoGear player's USB adapter into the device itself. Insert the other end of the adapter into an available USB port on your computer. Wait for your computer to recognize the Philips GoGear player as a connected device.
2. Double-click the Philips GoGear player's device icon. Doing so opens its file folder.
3. Open the folder containing the music you wish to add to the Philips GoGear player for transfer in a separate file manager window.
4. Drag and drop the music from its window into the Philips GoGear player's file folder.
5. Safely disconnect the Philips GoGear player from your computer. Right-click the Philips GoGear player's device icon and select "Safely Remove Hardware" from the ensuing drop-down menu. Remove the Philips GoGear player's USB adapter from both the handset and computer.
6. Connect the Philips GoGear player with the computer or device to which you wish to transfer the stored music. Insert one end of the Philips GoGear player's USB adapter into the handset itself. Insert the other end of the adapter into an available USB port on the computer or other hardware.
7. Double-click the Philips GoGear player's device icon the computer or hardware to which you have connected it. Doing so reveals its file folder.
8. Drag and drop or otherwise copy the music files from the Philips GoGear player's file folder into a desired folder on the computer or hardware.
9. Safely disconnect the Philips GoGear player as per Step 5.
