Fifties Party Table decorations

Enhance your 50s-themed party decor with specialty centerpieces.

The 1950s were a time when diners, poodle skirts, television shows such as "I Love Lucy" and, of course, rock-n-roll music, were popular. Teens grooved to the music of Elvis Presley and girls swooned over teen idols such as Frankie Avalon. Help bring all of these memories back during a 50s-themed party by creating or purchasing themed table centerpieces that complement your 50s-inspired menu, music playlist and outfits.

Hollywood Cutouts

From the 1950s emerged some of the most iconic movie stars whose films are still considered classics today. For the tables in your party, create cutouts of some of these actors and use them as centerpieces. Whether you use an image of a full body or just a bust, make it in a size suitable for the table. Print out images of some of the well-known movie stars from the '50s, such as Gary Cooper, Bing Crosby, Grace Kelly, Bob Hope, John Wayne, Marlene Dietrich, Jimmy Stewart and Marilyn Monroe.

1959 Cadillac Convertible

The 1959 Cadillac convertible, a car largely known for its tailfins, is a classic image of the '50s. If you're not able to create your own scaled-down model of this Cadillac, purchase one from retailers that specialize in themed centerpieces for parties. If you do make your own, paint the car bubble gum pink or teal and place flowers or balloons inside for a more dramatic effect.

Music Centerpieces

The '50s gave rise to the popularity of many musicians, as well as rock-n-roll. Perfect for a 1950s dance party are jukebox and record-style centerpieces that reflect this musical legacy. Like the Hollywood cutout centerpieces, you can also create cutouts of popular 50s musicians, such as Elvis Presley, Little Richard, Jerry Lee Lewis, Hank Williams, Tony Bennett, Chuck Berry, Frank Sinatra and Connie Francis.
