Replace An Iriver H120 Battery

An iRiver H120 is an MP3.

An iRiver is a digital audio player or MP3. It features 20 GB of storage and can play over 600 hours of digital music. The standard rechargeable battery that comes with an iRiver has an expected life of 500 charge/drain processes. During that time, the battery may slowly lose efficiency and eventually die or lose the ability to be recharged. If the player is still under manufacturer's warranty, you should contact the manufacturer for information on replacing the battery. If the product is not under warranty, you can replace the battery at home. Replacing the battery will void the warranty.

Instructions

1. Use an electronic phillips head screwdriver to remove the 4 screws on the back of the iRiver H120. An electronic screwdriver is skinnier than a traditional screwdriver and will fit in the small screws on the iRiver H120.

2. Lift the back cover from the iRiver H120. The battery will be visible.

3. Disconnect the battery by gently tugging at the white battery connector on the end of the wires. Once disconnected, lift up the battery for removal.

4. Connect the battery connector of the new battery to the battery bay connector. The battery connectors will snap when they are firmly in place. Set the battery into the battery bay.

5. Place the back of the iRiver H120 back into position. Screw the screws back into place.

6. Connect the iRiver H120 to the power adapter. Allow the battery to fully charge for eight hours prior to use.
