MP3 Player
RM files are either videos or music used with the program Real Media Player. So if you want to listen to an RM on an MP3 player, you need to first convert the file into a compatible format such as MP3. You can do this with sites online designed to change your media format. These sites are often free to use, and the controls are very similar. You can also download free conversion software.
Instructions
Conversion Sites
1. Visit a website such as Convertfiles, Freefileconvert, or Media-convert.com (see "Resources").
2. Click on the "Browse" button on the main page of a site like Convertfiles, for example. A browse window appears. Double-click on your RM file.
3. Click on the "Output Format" drop-down menu and select "MP3" from the list there.
4. Click the "Convert" button to begin conversion. Click on the link for your new MP3 file once it appears on the site. This should only take a few moments.

5. Download and install some software such as Format Factory if you prefer to do it that way.
6. Click on the "Audio" tab in the program window. Click "All to MP3." Click the "Add File" button. Double-click on your RM file in the browse window that appears.
7. Click "OK" to go back to the main screen. Click "Start" to begin the conversion.
