Callaway Gardens is at the foothills of the Appalachians. Founded by Cason Jewell Callaway in 1952, it is the centerpiece of 13,000 acres with a variety of on-site attractions such as Woodland Gardens and Nature Trails. Callaway Gardens features accommodations, special packages, events, educational programs and several dining options including a cafe, lounge, pizzeria and a formal restaurant.
Country Kitchen
The Country Kitchen offers casual dining with a country-style rustic decor and the charm of Southern hospitality. The restaurant is tucked inside the Callaway Gardens Country Store and has a large selection of Southern-style dishes. You can dine at the Country Kitchen for breakfast, lunch and dinner, and a reservation is not required. Children's menus are available for family dining. Menu selections include sandwiches, burgers and salads as well as meat and vegetable combination meals.
The Piedmont Dining Room
Enjoy the garden ambience of the Piedmont Dining Room, surrounded by nature. Located in the Lodge and Spa of Callaway Gardens, the casual dining restaurant offers Southern-influenced meals for all-day dining. You can start your day with a chef-prepared omelet or a buffet of complimentary breakfast dishes. The lunch menu features a selection of a la carte items from 11:30 a.m to 2 p.m. The Piedmont Dining Room has signature dinner dishes featuring hand-selected produce, beef and seafood. Dinner is served daily from 5:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. and reservations are suggested.
Rockin' Robin Malt Shop & Pizzeria
Adjacent to the Southern Pine Cottages, the Rockin' Robin's Malt Shop & Pizzeria offers a decor from the 1950s with arcade games and an old-fashioned jukebox. The malt shop and pizzeria features chips, candy bars, hot dogs, hand dipped ice cream, pizza, side salads, hot sub sandwiches and malted milkshakes. The Rockin' Robin is seasonal and opens from Memorial Day through Labor Day.
Garden Restaurant
The Garden Restaurant offers an elegant atmosphere and d cor for fine dining. Callaway Garden's original clubhouse, the restaurant has a porch that overlooks the Lake View Golf Course and Mountain Creek Lake. Guests can choose from a line-up of entrees with locally grown food products. Indoor and outdoor seating is available, and casual attire is required. Dinner is served Tuesday through Saturday 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. and reservations are strongly recommended.
