SanDisk's Sansa MP3 players allow you to access your music and videos on the go. SanDisk offers several Sansa models fromthe wallet-friendly Clip to the feature-packed Fuze. No matter which model you own, all Sansa MP3 players must be updated regularly to ensure that they are using the latest firmware. This can be accomplished by downloading and running the Sansa Firmware Updater application.
Instructions
1. Go to the SanDisk website and click the "Support" tab at the top of the page. A link is available in the "Resources" section.
2. Click on the name of your Sansa product from the list that appears.
3. Click "Firmware Update" under downloads if there is an update available for the device.
4. Download Sansa Firmware Updater by clicking the "Sansa Firmware Updater" link under the "Method 1" heading.
5. Connect the Sansa device to the computer using the provided cable. A message appears in the computer's lower right task bar indicating there is a firmware update available. Click the message balloon.
6. Click the "Firmware" check box in the window that appears, then click "Download Now." The update is downloaded to the computer. Click "Finished" when it is complete.
7. Disconnect the Sansa device from the computer. If a "Firmware update in progress" message appears, wait for the update to finish.
