If you own a Cricut personal electronic cutter and multiple cartridges, chances are you have found yourself at a scrapbooking event without the perfect cartridge for your project. The Gypsy, designed by the manufacturer of the Cricut, allows you to take all of your cartridges with you on the go in a small, handheld device that connects to the Cricut machine. Although The Gypsy comes preloaded with all of the cartridges available at the time the device is manufactured, you can only cut designs using cartridges that you have linked to the device. Fortunately, as you design, you can choose images and fonts from a list of just the cartridges you've linked.
Instructions
1. Push the power button to turn the Gypsy on. Hold the button until the blue light comes on.
2. Click the Cricut App or Menu button. Using the stylus, click "New" icon. This will open the mat screen.
3. Open the keypad by clicking on the keypad button from the mat screen. The name of the last cartridge you used will appear in the cartridge window in the lower left hand corner of the keypad. If you have a new Gypsy that you haven't used, it will default to the "Gypsy Wanderings" cartridge.
4. Click on the cartridge window to display a drop-down screen. Choose the linked cartridges option in the drop-down menu.
5. View the list of cartridges that have been linked or loaded onto the Gypsy. Select one of the cartridges from that list to design the embellishments you want to cut.
