Jazz is alive in Indianapolis
Indianapolis has a little jazz in its step with several clubs dedicated to live jazz performance. Indy's jazz fever has extended to the creation of the Indianapolis Jazz Fest. Besides checking out the Indianapolis Jazz Orchestra, or seeing national jazz acts at concert venues like The Murat or Clowes Hall, you can grab a drink, a meal, and find hot jazz every night of the week in Indianapolis if you know where to look.
The Chatterbox Jazz Club
For more than 26 years The Chatterbox has presented live jazz at least five days a week. The club is located in downtown Indianapolis in the "Mass Ave" cultural district. Throughout the week they have many performances with no cover charge, and when there is no one on stage, they have a fully stocked jazz jukebox. Besides the music, the Chatterbox serves food and offers monthly wine tastings.
