Instructions For a Centon MP3 Player
Centon MP3 players are compact electronic devices that store and play back your music while on the go. In order to store your music on the portable Centon devices, you need to transfer your music from your computer onto the device. Once the music is on the Centon MP3 player, you can begin listening to your favorite songs.
Adding Music
Centon MP3 players have a USB connector built in to the player, meaning you do not need to attach external USB cables to connect the MP3 player to a computer. Remove the protective cap from the end of the MP3 player to expose the USB connector and plug it into a USB jack on your computer. After several seconds, the computer will recognize the player as a removable storage device. You now have access to the MP3 player through your computer.
To add music to the device, open "My Computer" on your computer and choose "Centon Media Player" from the list of available drives. Create a folder within the window that opens by right clicking anywhere in the window, choosing "New Folder" and naming it "Music." Drag music stored on your computer into the "Music" folder. The amount of music you transfer and the size of the files will determine the amount of time it takes to transfer the music files. A status bar will appear on the screen, indicating the amount of time remaining before the files finish transferring. Once your music is added to the Centon MP3 player, remove the MP3 player from the computer's USB jack and reattach the protective cap.
Playing Music
Now that you've added music to your Centon MP3 player, it's time to listen to it. Plug the supplied headphones into the headphone jack. Press and hold the "Play" button until the main menu appears on the LCD screen. It may take several seconds before the device turns on. Select "Play Music" from the menu by pressing the "Play/Pause" button. Scroll through the list of songs using the "Mode" button and highlight the song you want to play. Start the song by pressing the "Play/Pause" button. You can return to the songs list by pressing and holding the "Mode" button.
Recording
The Centon MP3 player also acts as a handheld recorder, allowing you to record your voice or other sound for later playback. To record, select "Record" from the main menu and press the "Mode" button. Press the "Play/Pause" button to start recording. When you are finished, press the "Play/Pause" button a second time. The recording you make is not saved until you press and hold the "Mode" button until an hourglass symbol appears on the screen.
When you want to listen to sound files recorded with the Centon MP3 player, scroll to "Voice" in the main menu and press the "Mode" button. Highlight the file you want to listen to and press the "Play/Pause" button.
