Mount An Hewlett packard Touchsmart Computer To Some Wall

This touch screen computer would look better on the wall.

Having a computer screen mounted to the wall will add a modern touch of style to your house, but the HP TouchSmart computer adds an extra modern feel while allowing you to interact with the computer. Mounting your computer monitor on the wall will save you space in your home, compared to a regular flat screen monitor you would need to sit in front of. An HP TouchSmart computer gives you the freedom to take care of quick tasks while just passing by.

Instructions

1. Use a stud finder to find two vertical studs. It's important to use studs when mounting anything and it is especially important when mounting something as heavy as a computer monitor. Mark the location of the studs on the wall with a pencil.

2. Position the computer's mounting plate on the wall over the studs so that all the holes of the mounting plate are positioned over the studs. Insert the lag bolts that came with the wall mount through the mounting holes and start screwing them into the wall by hand until the bolts are deep enough into the wall where they no longer need you to support them, then tighten with a wrench the rest of the way into the studs.

3. Align the mounting brackets to the back of the your HP TouchSmart monitor so the VESA screw holes on each are lined up. (VESA screws are the screws that go into the back of your monitor for mounting.) Insert the VESA screws through the mounting brackets into the monitor and tighten with a Phillips screwdriver.

4. Bring the monitor to the wall mount and slide the brackets through the connectors of the mounting plate. When the brackets are in place with the connectors, insert the security screws that came with the mount to hold the bracket in place on the mounting plate.
