Remove Home windows Media Player Files

Windows Media Player is the default media player found in Windows operating systems. It enables you to play media content, including videos and music. You can import a number of files to Windows Media Player and upload to portable media players or burn to a CD. If you are no longer using certain media files, you can remove them from Windows Media Player and your computer to free up system resources, such as hard drive and memory space.

Instructions

1. Open Windows Media Player.

2. Click the "Library" button at the top. You should see a list of the files currently uploaded to the Windows Media Player Library.

3. Scroll through the library and click the file that you want to delete. If you want to select multiple adjacent files, press "Shift" and select the files you want to delete. If you want to select nonadjacent files, press "Ctrl" and click each file that you want to delete. Right-click the files, select "Delete" and click "Yes" to confirm. If prompted, specify whether you want to remove the files from the Windows Media Player Library only, or from the computer as well. If you want to delete a playlist, right-click the playlist from the left pane and click "Delete."
