Rock 'N' Roll Designed Crafts

Decorate star-shaped sunglasses for a rock 'n' roll craft.

When planning a rock 'n' roll party, prepare some entertaining crafts for guests. Crafts give the guests something to do, as well as something to take home as a memento of the party. Rock 'n' roll crafts are also perfect for children and their parents or teachers who are teaching their students about the music genre. People of all ages can enjoy making a few rock 'n' roll-themed crafts.

Guitar Crafts

Create a guitar using a variety of supplies from your local craft store. Give each guest a piece of cardboard or card stock paper to use to cut out a guitar shape. Use markers, crayons, paint pens, glitter pens, stickers, stamps and rhinestones to decorate the guitars. For added decoration, they can use chenille stems or yarn to create the guitar strings. If the crafts are for a party, have a contest to see who can freehand the best guitar picture. Award a small rock 'n' roll-themed prize to the winner. Younger children can use markers and stickers to decorate inflatable guitars.

Sunglass Crafts

Star-shaped sunglasses are available online and at many party supply stores. Each person can decorate his own pair of rock 'n' roll sunglasses using a few supplies. Basic decorations include painting the glasses with metallic or bright-colored paint pens. For a sparkling idea, have the guests paint a thin layer of glue all over the frame of the sunglasses and sprinkle with glitter. Other ideas include placing rock 'n' roll stickers all over the glasses.

Jukebox Crafts

Make a rock 'n' roll jukebox craft with a few supplies. Shape poster board into a long rectangle shape and stand it up on a table. You can also cover a shoebox with construction paper to create the base of the jukebox. Round another piece of poster board and tape it to the top of the rectangle shape to resemble a jukebox. Use markers, paint and glitter to decorate the jukebox. Use craft rhinestone gems to make "buttons" for the jukebox. For added decoration, make CDs or records out of card stock to tape to the jukebox.

Other Crafts

Make some edible rock 'n' roll cookies. Use cookie cutters to make square, circle, star-shaped and music note sugar cookies. Decorate the circle cookies like CDs or records and the squares like jukeboxes or music sheets. Use black and white frosting to decorate the music notes and music sheets. For another craft, make tie-dye T-shirts using a kit from your local craft store. You can also decorate plain white shirts with fabric paint and pens. Draw or paint music notes, records, CDs and sunglasses on the shirts.
