If you are adding files to a compilation that you intend to burn with the Nero 9 burning suite, you can sort them in a number of different ways. Like Windows Explorer, a Nero 9 "New Compilation" window shows you various aspects about the files that are included in the project to be burned. It is by using these pieces of file information that you can sort the files in Nero 9.
Instructions
1. Double click on your saved Nero Burning ROM project file (if you don't already have the project open and on screen). This will open Nero Burning ROM and then open the file, which will display all of the files that you're getting ready to burn to a CD or DVD.
2. Locate the piece of file information in the Nero Burning ROM project window toolbar that you would like to use to sort your files. You can choose between "Name," "Size," "Type," "Modified" (meaning the date in which the file was last modified) and "Origin" (meaning the location of the file on your computer).
3. Click on the piece of file information in the Nero Burning ROM project window toolbar that you would like to use to sort your files. One click will sort all the files in ascending order based on that piece of file information, and two clicks will sort all of the files in descending order based on that piece of information.
