If you have all your music files stored in your iTunes library but you want to use an MP3 player that is not an Apple device, then you will have to transfer all the music files from iTunes to your MP3 player's compatible software. This is a task that doesn't require a lot of time or effort to accomplish. Also, you won't have to worry about taking up extra space on your hard drive when you transfer the information because it will not create a copy of the files.
Instructions
1. Open the software that your MP3 player is compatible with. For example, some MP3 players will be compatible with Windows Media Player (WMP) and don't require additional software while others have their own software, such as Zune. If you don't already have the appropriate software, download it from the Internet before continuing.
2. Import the music files from your iTunes library to the program that your MP3 player is compatible with. To do this on a program such as WMP, click "Library/Add to Library."
3. Plug your MP3 player to your computer using the USB cable provided when you purchased the player.
4. Synchronize your MP3 player with the music library in the program that is compatible with that player. For example, if you are using WMP, then click "Sync."
