Un-install Musicmatch Software

Until 2007, many PC users who wanted to listen to music that was stored on their machine would turn to MusicMatch Jukebox. The MusicMatch Jukebox software is, for the most part, easy to uninstall but any version of MusicMatch Jukebox that is supported or sponsored by Yahoo! will require additional steps to keep the software from running on your machine.

Instructions

1. Open your "Start" menu and click on "Control Panel" to open your Control Panel menu.

2. Select the "Add/Remove Programs" option to open the "Add/Remove Programs" window.

3. Double-click "MusicMatch Jukebox" to open the uninstaller program. Click "Next", and then "Uninstall" and "Confirm" to uninstall the software from your computer. If you are using a version of MusicMatch Jukebox sponsored by Yahoo!, proceed to Step 4.

4. Open your "Start" menu again and type "regedit" in the search bar. In Windows XP, you will have to click "Search..." and then type "regedit".

5. Highlight the "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run" file, open it and remove the numerical value next to "MimBoot".
