"Bloatware" is a term used to describe pre-installed software that is rarely used by consumers, but it takes up considerable space on your computer. Lenovo, an international distributor of desktops and notebooks, may be responsible for some of the bloatware on your computer. Keep in mind that while some pre-installed programs are bloatware, others might be useful applications. Thus, you may want to open each pre-installed program first to determine whether you want to remove it.
Instructions
1. Restart your computer and press the "F8" repeatedly repeatedly until the "Advanced Boot Options" menu appears. On most computers, the F8 key will launch the Advanced Boot Options menu. If this is not the case on your computer, consult the manufacturer to determine which key opens the menu.
2. Highlight "Safe Mode" in the Advanced Boot Options menu using the arrow keys and press "Enter." Your operating system loads in Safe Mode.
3. Click "Start," then "Control Panel," then "Programs" and then "Programs and Features."
4. Select the Lenovo bloatware program that you want to remove, and click "Uninstall." Repeat this step for every program you want to remove.
5. Restart your computer normally when prompted.
