These days a computer can be much more than a productivity tool. Computers can also be full featured entertainment devices, capable of playing your favorite movies, allowing you to watch your favorite television shows, and listen to your favorite music. Instructions
1. Attach a CD tower to your multimedia computer to transform it into a full featured jukebox. These CD towers are designed to connect using a standard USB cable, making them easy to install and remove. Once the CD tower is in place you will be able to play your favorite CDs directly through your computer. You will also be able to transform your favorite audio tracks to MP3 files so you can take them with you wherever you go.
2. Replace your standard CD or DVD drive with a new Blu-ray DVD player. Blu-ray has emerged as the format of choice for viewing movies. Installing a Blu-ray player or burner is a great way to make your multimedia PC the star of your home theater system.
3. Attach a large screen LCD monitor to your multimedia computer. If you are going to use your PC as an entertainment device you will need a quality screen to look at. The price of flat screen monitors has come down quite a bit, so chances are you will be able to afford a top model.
4. Insert a TV tuner card into your computer's USB drive. These TV tuner cards allow you to receive over the air signals right on your computer, allowing your multimedia PC to double as a flat screen television set. To install the TV tuner card simply plug it in to a free USB port and install the software.
