Connect A Brand New Compact disc Player For An Old Shelf System

A CD player comes equipped with both analog and digital connectors for transferring audio from the disc being played to a speaker system. To hook up a new CD player that has both analog and digital connections to your old shelf stereo system, use the analog connections. An RCA audio cable purchased from a hobby store or electronics shop is all that is needed and costs very little. You will not need to make any adjustments to the new CD player in order to connect it to your old shelf stereo system.
