Zune is the brand name for a line of software and MP3 players manufactured by Microsoft for listening to digital music and audio files. The company's MP3 players are equipped with an audio headphone mini-jack that doubles for use in connecting external speakers. There are three basic ways to hook up a pair of external stereo speakers to your Zune MP3 player.
Instructions
1. Plug the 1/8-inch mini-jack into the Zune headphone jack.
2. Plug the other end of the mini-jack cable into the input jack on a pair of powered stereo computer speakers.
3. Plug the power adapter for the stereo speakers into an outlet and switch on the speakers. The on/off volume control knob is usually on the front of one of the two speakers.
4. Connect a Zune player to a speaker docking station by placing the player into the docking station straight down until it clicks into place.
5. Connect a Zune to an external stereo system with a mini-jack/RCA plug cable, inserting the mini-jack plug into the Zune headphone jack.
6. Connect the RCA cables to an auxiliary audio input on the back of an amplifier or receiver. Plug the red cable into the right audio jack and the white cable into the left.
