Create A Sound Apply For An Internet Page

Give your site a voice.


By creating and adding an audio file to your web page, you can give your website a voice. You can add audio of the latest political debate or your latest speaking engagement. Perhaps you desire to add music as an audio file to create a virtual ambiance for your site. The type of audio file that you add is strictly based on your personal preference.


Instructions


1. Choose audio files that are in .mp3 or .wav format. To determine the format, perform a right-click on the audio file and select "Properties."


2. Log into the "Control Panel" of your website. If you don't have the login information to access your control panel, you can obtain this information from your web hosting provider.


3. Click on the "File Directory" to begin creating the audio file. Select "Upload."


4. Click "Browse" to view and select the file on your computer that you wish to use as audio. After clicking "Browse," it may be necessary to click the "Upload" button again to activate the upload. The new audio file should now appear in your "File Directory."


5. Right-click on the audio file. Select "Properties." Write down the web address for the file. For example, http://www.mysite.com/myaudiofile.mp3 or http://www.mysite.com/myaudiofile.wav.


6. Determine which web page you would like to add the audio file to. Open the page for editing by clicking on the page in the "File Directory." The HTML editor will appear.


7. Place the following HTML code inside of the HTML editor to add the audio file to your page:


8. Click "Save" to save the changes to your page. It may be necessary to click "Publish" to make your audio file accessible to your website visitors.
