Convert and transfer your iTunes music to your Coby MP3 player.
Music purchased from the iTunes Store after April 2009 is free of Digital Rights Management protection, which allows it to be converted to different audio formats. In order to transfer and play iTunes music on your Coby MP3 player, you must convert it to the standard MP3 file format. According to the Coby site, Coby MP3 players only support WMA (Windows Media Audio) and MP3 audio file formats for song playback. Once the tracks are converted in iTunes, they will be compatible for playback on Coby MP3 players.
Instructions
1. Open iTunes. Select "Edit" and click "Preferences." Click "Import Settings" to access the audio conversion settings.
2. Click the drop-down list next to "Import Using" and click "MP3 Encoder." Optionally, click the drop-down list below the first to change the quality of the MP3 to 128, 160 or 192 kbps.
3. Click "OK" on the Import Settings window, and "OK" on the Preferences window to save and exit. Click the song you want to convert, and click "Advanced" at the top of iTunes. Select "Create MP3 Version" from the drop-down menu.
4. Drag and drop the MP3 version of the track to your desktop, and plug the USB cable into the Coby MP3 player and your computer's USB port.
5. Click your computer's "Start" menu, click "Computer" and double-click the "Removable Disk" icon.
6. Drag and drop the MP3s on your desktop to the Removable Disk window to transfer them to the Coby MP3 player.
7. Once the files have finished transferring, open the "Computer" folder again and right-click the "Removable Disk" icon. Select "Eject" from the menu.
