Novell Groupwise connects with a Novell email server, so you can read, send and store email messages on the company network. In most company environments, email messages are stored on the email server. You must export messages to store them on your computer. Groupwise lets you export and save email messages as text files on your computer, so you can keep a copy on your local hard drive.
Instructions
1. Click the Windows "Start" button and select "All Programs." Click "Novell" in the program groups, then click "Groupwise" to open the email client.
2. Click "Inbox" in the left panel. Hold the "Ctrl" key and click each email message you want to export. After you finish selecting all the messages, right click one of the highlighted messages and click "Save As." A configuration window opens.
3. Click "HTML Message" in the format options. This option lets you maintain any HTML formatted messages with images. Click "Save to Disk" in the drop-down box directly under the format selection.
4. Click "Browse" next to the "Groupwise Directory" text box. Choose a location on the hard drive where you want to export the messages. Groupwise defaults to the "Groupwise" directory.
5. Click "Save." It takes a few seconds to save all of the email messages, especially if you have several messages with attachments. The "Save" dialog window closes, and the messages are stored to your hard drive.
