Get Music From The Computer Onto An Apple iphone

Apple's iPhone uses the same technology as the iPod. Most iPhones contain iPod software, allowing you to transfer songs and movies. The process requires Apple's iTunes software, which serves as a holding space for MP3 files as well as the iPhone's various applications. Once you've set up the basics, you can transfer songs to the iPhone in the same manner as you recharge it.

Instructions

1. Open iTunes on your computer. (There is a link in the Resources section if you do not have the program.) Click and drag any music files to the iTunes window.

2. Connect the iPhone to your computer using the USB cable that came with it. An iPhone icon will appear in the left-hand column of the iTunes window.

3. Click the iPhone icon, then the "Music" tab. Choose the songs you want to transfer to your iPhone by clicking the box next to each track. You can also click "Entire music library" to transfer everything.

4. Click "Sync" to begin transferring music. It usually takes a few minutes. Disconnect the iPhone when the computer prompts you.
