Apple's iTunes software has become one of the most popular applications for managing personal audio and video, and for loading this content onto compatible MP3 players. The process of loading iTunes content onto compatible media devices for portable enjoyment is a fairly simple process that can be completed in just a few short steps.
Instructions
1. Open iTunes.
2. Connect your compatible MP3 player to your computer using the connector cord. If this is the first time you've connected the device, on-screen prompts will ask you to name your device, register it, and choose what you would like to "Sync" between your computer and the device. For now, name your device, click "Register Later," then "Done."
3. Click on your MP3 player's icon on the left side of iTunes. Information for your device will appear on the right side. Click on each tab (music, video) and choose which items you would like to load onto your MP3 player. When you are done in each section, click "Sync."
4. Click "Library" in the left pane of iTunes if you would prefer to manually load your files. Select individual files by clicking and holding the title, then dragging the file(s) over the name/icon of your MP3 player, also found in the left pane. Playlists from the left pane that you have previously created can also be dragged onto your MP3 player. Once the files are done copying, eject the device by clicking the eject icon next to your MP3 player's icon in the left pane.
