Creating playlists on your computer will allow you to easily and efficiently organize your digital music collection. This is useful whether you want to organize your entire music collection or simply make a playlist for a party. Windows Media Player is useful for this task because of its user-friendly interface and widespread availability. Since Windows Media Player comes installed on all Windows computers, you do not need to download any software in order to complete this task.
Instructions
1. Open Windows Media Player by clicking the "Start" button, selecting "Programs" and clicking "Windows Media Player."
2. Click the "Switch to Library" button and then select the tab labeled "Play."
3. Drag the songs you want to create a playlist out of and drop them into the "List" column on the right side of Windows Media Player.
4. Arrange the order of these songs inside of the "List" column by dragging them up and down.
5. Click "Save List" to save your playlist of music.
