The 2 GB Sansa Clip does not have to rely on any special software to add media to its internal drive; just plug the MP3 player into your computer and drop audio files into the Clip's "Music" folder. That generality, however, does not apply to adding playlists. To create playlists, the Clip uses Windows Media Player, a media playback program included with Windows operating systems. Use the software's playlist creation options and sync those playlists to the Clip.
Instructions
1. Connect the 2 GB Clip to your computer using the device's USB cable and launch Windows Media Player.
2. Locate songs, in the left navigation pane, that you wish to add to your playlist. Drag them to the "Play" list in the right pane.
3. Click "Save list" to store the playlist to Windows Media Player. A field appears where you must name the list.
4. Type a name and press "Enter." Create additional playlists if desired.
5. Click "Sync." Your Clip's icon appears in the sync pane.
6. Drag your playlists, located in the left navigation pane, to the "Sync" pane.
7. Click "Start sync." The playlists upload to the Clip.
