Delete Now Playing in Windows Media
When you open song files in Windows Media player, they are automatically added to a "Now Playing" playlist. This playlist will grow with every new song you listen to, and might become cumbersome. Deleting the "Now Playing" playlist every once in a while is a good way to keep your playlist tidy.
Instructions
1. Open Windows Media Player by going to "Start," "Programs" and "Windows Media Player."
2. Go to "File" and "Open" and click on a music file you'd like to listen to (if you have none, you can just double-click the "Sample Music" folder and click one of those tracks) and then click "Open."
3. On the left-hand toolbar, click "Now Playing." You should then see the track your playing on the left-hand side.
4. Right-click the track and click "Delete from playlist." You can do this with any track in the Now Playing playlist. The track will then be deleted from the playlist. Keep in mind this does not mean the track will be deleted permanently. You can always follow Steps 2 and 3 to open the track again.
