Remove Realone Player

The RealOne Player is a media player from Real Networks. Typically, it gets installed on your computer if you have a RealOne SuperPass account. However, there is also a free version of the RealOne Player that you could have on your computer. If you have decided that you no longer want the RealOne Player on your computer, you can remove it. You will find that removing the RealOne Player from your computer is a pretty easy process. You can either do a standard uninstall, or an uninstall with the r1pclean program.

Instructions

1. Do a standard uninstall by clicking "Start" and navigating to "Programs." Point at "Real," and then "RealOne Player" to get more options.

2. Select "Uninstall RealOne Player" to start the standard uninstall process. A removal wizard window will appear. Press "Next" through the removal wizard until it starts uninstalling the RealOne Player for you. You may have to reboot your system when it completes.

3. Download the r1pclean program from the RealOne website. If you plan on re-installing, you should write down the serial number before you run the program.

4. Run the r1pclean program by double clicking on the r1pclean.exe file. It will open a DOS-based window.

5. Type "Y" into the window and press "Enter." Type "Y" to the question about keeping your media database, and press "Enter." And enter "Y" to the question about registry keys, and press "Enter." This will start the complete uninstall for you. When the DOS-based window returns to a blinking prompt and closes, then the uninstall is complete. You may need to reboot your system.
