ITunes offers you a number of ways to build your music library. You can purchase music from the iTunes Store, import tracks from folders already on your computer or rip music from audio and MP3 CDs. When you import or rip music, the CD information may not load to iTunes properly. If CD information is missing from songs in your iTunes collection, edit the CD to add the missing information so you can always find it in your library.
Instructions
1. Open the "File" menu of the iTunes window. Select "New Playlist." Then type in a name for the playlist.
2. Click the "Music" tab at the top of the left sidebar. Navigate to the tracks you want to edit.
3. Drag-and-drop each song of the CD onto the new playlist folder in the left sidebar.
4. Select the new playlist from the left sidebar. The playlist loads to the main iTunes window, displaying each song you've just added.
5. Click the "Edit" menu at the top of the interface. Select the "Select All" drop-down item. ITunes selects all the tracks in the playlist.
6. Click the "File" menu, then select "Get Info." The "Get Info" dialog opens.
7. Click the "Info" tab of the dialog.
8. Fill out the fields presented on the "Info" page, including "Artist," "Year," "Composer" and "Genre."
9. Click the "OK" button when finished to save your changes.
