Apple released the first iPod in 2001, marketing it as a digital jukebox that could hold 1,000 songs. The iPod Nano was released in 2005 to replace the iPod Mini and has record sales of 42,000,000. The iPod Touch was released in 2007 and was the first iPod with Wi-Fi capability. The second generation of the iPod Nano was released in 2006 and the second generation of the iPod Touch was released in 2008. Apple improves the functions of each previous generation prior to the release of the next version.
Instructions
iPod Nano
1. Slide the button on the top of the iPod to the unlocked position. The orange color is hidden when the iPod is unlocked.
2. Press the "Play" button and hold until the screen is black.
3. Slide the button on the top of the iPod to lock position. Locking the iPod once it is turned off will prevent the iPod from turning back on.
iPod Touch
4. Press the button on the top of the iPod Touch.
5. Hold the top button down for a few seconds until the red slider appears on the touch screen.
6. Slide the red slider that appears on the screen as directed. The iPod touch is now powered off.
