Released in 2003 and compatible with Windows XP, the Nomad Jukebox Zen Xtra by Creative last had a firmware update in 2005 and a software update in 2006. The MP3 player features 30 GB, 40 GB or 60 GB hard drives, a removable battery and ships with Creative MediaSource software. Creative Zen Xtra owners who want to use the synchronization feature should update the firmware for the player and the Creative MediaSource software to the latest versions available.
Instructions
1. Connect the AC adapter to the Creative Nomad Jukebox Zen Xtra and plug it into the power outlet.
2. Connect the USB data cable to your Zen Xtra, then plug the cable into an available USB port on your computer. Close the AutoPlay box when it appears.
3. Click "Start," "All Programs," "Creative" and "Creative MediaSource."
4. Click on the Zen Xtra in the left column of MediaSource under the "Sources" header.
5. Click the "Sync Manager" button in the toolbar. Click "Next" in the "Sync Manager."
6. Select your "PC Music Library" or other location as your "transfer from" source. Select "Zen Xtra" as your transfer to source. Select the appropriate direction in the "Sync Direction" field.
7. Click the box next to "Audio" to check it if it is not currently checked. Click "Next."
8. Click "Synchronize all files and playlists." Click "Next."
9. Click the "Start" button to begin synchronizing.
