Transfer Videos With An Archos 5

Transfer videos to your Archos 5 Internet Media Tablet for on-the-go playback.

If you have the Archos 5 tablet and wish to transfer videos from your computer for on-the-go watching, Windows Media Player provides support for device synchronization. The Archos 5 Internet Media Tablet (IMT) is a portable device released in 2008 that provides Internet access, as well as video and audio playback by synchronizing the content stored in your Windows Media Player 11 library on your PC to the portable device. After synchronization is complete, the videos are stored on your Archos 5 tablet in the device's internal storage section.

Instructions

1. Open the Windows Media Player program on your computer. Locate the video file you wish to import to your Windows Media Player library, and right-click the file.

2. Move your mouse's cursor to "Open With" on the shortcut menu and select "Windows Media Player" in the sub-menu.

3. Insert the USB end of the Archos cable into the computer's USB port, and insert the opposite end of the cable into the Archos' dock connector port located on the left side of the Archos 5 tablet. Tap the "OK" button on the Archos' screen to enable the USB connection.

4. Click the "Sync" tab at the top of Windows Media Player, and click the "+" button next to the "Library" tab in the Windows Media Player's sidebar.

5. Click the "All Videos" tab underneath the "Library" tab, and drag the video file to the Sync list on the right side of the program window.

6. Release the video file in the Sync list window to add it, and click the "Start Sync" button at the bottom of the Windows Media Player window. Unplug the USB cable from the Archos 5 tablet after the video synchronization is complete.

7. Tap the "Video" icon on the Archos' home screen, and tap "Internal Storage" to view the transferred videos.
