Update Philips Gogear Audio Players

GoGear is a brand of portable MP3 and MP4 media players produced by Phillips Electronics. Each model, such as the Muse and Vibe, has its own design and specifications. Regardless of which model you're using, you must use the Phillips Songbird software to update the firmware of your device. Firmware updates fix any commonly encountered issues with the device, such as freezing or instability. The Phillips Songbird software is bundled with all GoGear media players. The software is also available online through the Phillips website.

Instructions

1. Download and install the Phillips Songbird program. Launch the Phillips Songbird software.

2. Connect the Phillips GoGear MP3 player to your computer using the supplied USB cable. Click the icon of your GoGear MP3 player on the left side of the Songbird interface.

3. Click the "Tools" tab. Click the "Check for updated firmware" button. If a new update is available for your device, it will be downloaded and applied. Do not disconnect the GoGear MP3 player until the Songbird program tells you that the installation is complete.
