What's Kazoo Player Software

Kazoo Player software is out-of-date audio software with new versions and updated versions through 2002. If you have the software installed, it may be causing pop-up windows in the lower-right corner of your screen. The program is obsolete, and for many users the pop-up windows are an annoyance. While it is rare to find a new download of the software, you can use currently installed versions as an alternative audio music player.

Function

The Kazoo Player is a basic audio player. It is compatible with Windows 98 and Windows XP. The audio player has a basic playback screen, playlist options and menus from to choose various functions. It plays multiple types of audio files like MP3, WAV and WMA. This software was most likely installed on your computer as part of a package from another installation. The Kazoo software uses pop-up notifications for software updates, Web links and to show current songs. These pop-ups appear in the bottom right corner of your Windows desktop.

Uninstallation

The removal of the Kazoo audio player can be a frustrating process. Even after using the standard Windows install and uninstall processes, the Kazoo software may not be completely removed. Consider using a third-party application such as the Revo Uninstaller, Advanced Uninstaller, and Slim Computer. All of these applications will completely remove the Kazoo software from your computer.

Considerations

If you have ever owned an RCA Kazoo MP3 player, the installed software may be completely different from the Kazoo Player software. The MP3 player comes with the MusicMatch Jukebox and the Real Jukebox software to play and transfer music files. When the RCA Kazoo MP3 player is plugged in through a USB port, the computer will automatically recognize the Jukebox software for that player. This software has no association with the Kazoo Player software.

Warnings

Some viruses and adware have been associated with the Kazoo Player software. Virus databases in software such as Spybot Search and Destroy lists the Kazoo Player as computer malware. If this software has mysteriously appeared on your computer, run multiple virus and malware scans to see if that is the culprit. Restart the computer in "Safe Mode" to ensure the Kazoo software is not running and causing more problems for the computer and virus scan.
