The Philips MP3 player is designed to make life and music listening just a little bit easier. It is a user-friendly device that anyone can operate, regardless of age, or technical experience. You can load and remove music directly from your computer with just a few mouse clicks. Navigating and operating the device is also an extremely simple action. Within minutes you, too, can master working with your Philips MP3 player, so you can enjoy listening to your music.
Instructions
1. Turn the MP3 player device on. The power button on most Philips MP3 players will be in the shape of a circle. The button will have a symbol that displays a circle with a slash through it. Hold this button down for approximately three seconds or until the MP3 player's screen begins to light up.
2. Connect the device to your computer to install the Philips MP3 Device Manager. Plug the Philips USB sync cable into one of the computer's available USB ports. Once the device is connected to the computer, the computer will immediately begin working to detect the connection. The MP3 player's software device manager will be installed to your computer automatically. An indication of this action will appear in the lower right corner of your computer screen above the desktop taskbar.
3. Sync your MP3 formatted songs to the device. Open your Windows Media Player application by clicking on its icon on your computer desktop screen. When the application opens, click on the "Sync" tab at the top of the screen. The Sync pane will appear on the right side of the screen. Using the tab options in the left pane of the application, click on one of the tabs to locate your music as you desire. Scroll through the list of songs that will appear and click once on the song file you'd like to sync. Drag the song file to the Sync pane. Repeat this action for each song you desire to sync to your MP3 player. Once you are done selecting and moving your songs to the list, click on the "Start Sync" action.
4. Remove music from the device. Once songs have been synced to your device, the only way to remove them correctly is by deleting them through Windows Media Player. Click on the device's model name and number at the bottom of the list in the left pane of the application. All of the song files on the device will appear in the middle pane of the screen. Right-click on the song file you want to delete, and select the "Delete" action in the drop down list.
5. Find your music on the device. On the right side or bottom of the screen, there will be navigation buttons and arrows that will be designated for scrolling up and down. The arrow facing the top of the device will direct you toward the beginning of your list of songs stored on the device. The down arrow will do just the opposite.
6. Power off your MP3 device. The same button that powers the device on will allow you to power it off as well. Press and hold the power button down until the screen goes blank. This will be your indication that the device is off.
