Bars In Old Town Alexandria Virginia

Old Town Alexandria is where Robert E. Lee's boyhood home is located.

Alexandria, located in northern Virginia, is just 6 miles south of Washington, D.C. The city's Old Town area is the third-oldest neighborhood in the United States. It is home to many fine restaurants, theaters and historical buildings, such as Robert E. Lee's boyhood home, Market Square and Gadsby's Tavern. During the day, there are walking tours and river cruises, and when the sun sets, there are numerous bars and lounges to enjoy. Add this to my Recipe Box.

The Speakeasy Room

Opening at 5 p.m. every day, The Speakeasy Room is located inside the Flying Fish Restaurant. You can enjoy a sushi happy hour from 5 to 7 p.m., and karaoke is featured on Monday, Thursday and Saturday. A DJ plays on Friday and Sunday, and there are game nights on Tuesday and Wednesday. The bar also features cocktails and a large sake selection.

Sit in a comfortable booth or at the bar, and you will feel as if you are in a country pub in Ireland, or sit by the fireplace and have a Guinness, along with hardy Irish fare.
