Birthday Celebration Suggestions For Your Husband

Party favors.

Throwing a birthday party for your husband is a way to show him you care. It will let him know that you took the time to plan something special for him. To make this birthday party special, you'll need to consider what he likes and dislikes, and come up with a unique party theme.

50's Party

Send your husband back to the era of rock and roll with a 50's birthday party. For invitations, purchase records from thrift stores and write party information on them with a metallic gray permanent marker. Hang fuzzy dice and plastic guitars from the ceiling for decorations. Serve foods that were found at 1950's drive-ins, such as root beer floats, cheeseburgers and french fries. Rent a jukebox and play 50's music. Have a dancing contest to see who can do the best dance from the 50's.

Poker Party

A poker party will give your husband the chance to enjoy his birthday while getting his competitive juices flowing. Send guests a party invitation with poker chips that they will use at the party. Decorate the party site with black and red balloons and streamers. When the guests arrive, give them play money that they will use to buy extra poker chips. Set up tables with different gambling games the guests can play, including poker. Serve finger foods that the guests will eat while playing the games.

Indoor Beach Party

No matter what the weather is, you can still throw your husband a beach party that he'll be sure to remember. Write party invitations on a piece of card stock and attach a shell to it with glue. Decorate the indoor party area with starfish, umbrellas and toy shovels. Set blankets on the floor for guests to sit on. Put beach-friendly foods, such as sandwiches, into plastic pails for the guests to eat. Set up a small volleyball net and play volleyball with beach balls.
