Collect Vintage Silk Jewelry

However, a vintage silk scarf does not have to come with a designer label to be a beautiful work of art. Vintage silk scarves in excellent condition are highly desirable to many collectors. 1. Decide if you would like to limit your collection of silk scarves to a particular designer or manufacturer, color palette or country of origin. Although there are many collectors that do limit their collections, many others collect vintage silk scarves based on the design and appeal of the individual scarf.


2. Browse antique and collectible shops that have vintage clothing sections that may have a scarf that would like to add to your collection.


3. Search second hand clothing shops and thrift stores for a silk scarf from decades ago.


4. Attend local auctions to see if they have a vintage scarf lot up for auction.


5. Check out the vintage scarves available at online auction sites such as eBay.com.


6. Scour the clothing sections at yard sales hoping to find a silk scarf that you would love to have.


7. Tell your relatives and friends that you collect vintage silk scarves. They may come across one as they shop and will let you know that they have located a vintage silk scarf that you may like for your collection.
