Connect An Ipod device To Some Hi Fi Systems System

The iPod is one of the most versatile pieces of audio equipment on the market today. Given its high-quality sound, you may want to enhance its entertainment value by connecting it to your home audio system. This is a common practice, and can be done easily with a few simple steps. All you need is your iPod and a connecting cable.

Instructions

1. Get a Y cable that will connect the iPod to a receiver or audio system.

2. Look for a connection on your system that is labeled AUX-IN or CD-IN. As long as you have the spare jack or input connection, most audio or stereo systems will connect to an iPod.

3. Insert the single male end into the earphone jack of the iPod.

4. Insert the two plugs into the right and left inputs on the audio system or receiver.

5. Turn on the iPod and home audio system. It doesn't matter which piece of equipment you turn on first.

6. Switch your audio system to "auxiliary." You should then be able to hear the music from the iPod.

7. Set the iPod volume to less than half its maximum capacity and adjust the overall volume through the home audio system. Depending on the stereo system you have, you may need to set the iPod volume to more than half to get adequate sound.

8. Try using a docking station specifically designed for your iPod if you don't have an adequate home audio system. This is another way to transmit sound throughout the room.
