An Acronis Preboot Execution Environment, or PXE, server allows for network computers to boot without operating systems installed on them. In order to set up the boot process for a guest computer on the Acronis PXE server you must make sure the Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol, or DHCP, is completely set up on the server computer. You can then configure the settings for the booting process on your computer.
Instructions
1. Log on to the Kernel-based Virtual Machine on your computer and then open the "Virtual Machine Manager" option.
2. Select the "Edit" option and then click the "Host Details" option. Click the "New" option and then click the "Enable DHCP" option so that it's deselected.
3. Click the "Edit" option again and then click the "Virtual Machine Details" option. Click the "Boot" option.
4. Click the "Network" option and then click the "Boot" option. The Acronis PXE boot process will then occur.
5. Press the "CTRL" and "B" keys at the same time at the beginning of the boot process. Enter "config" into the command line and then press the "Enter" key.
6. Enter in the "IP" for a guest machine into the "next-server" field, and then enter "bootwiz.bin" into the "filename" field.
7. Enter "autoboot" and your booting process will be configured and resume for the computer to start up.
