Converting RMJ to MP3 makes the files compatible with portable players.
The RMJ (Real Media Jukebox Audio File) file format was the proprietary container type for the now-defunct RealJukebox multimedia player (fileinfo.com). The format, similar to the RA and RAM file types that are now in use, is a standard format used for songs and audio recordings. The MP3 file format is the most common digital audio format, and it is compatible with nearly every digital media player, including the iPod and the Microsoft Zune (fileinfo.com). The easiest way to convert from RMJ to MP3 is by using downloadable conversion software.
Instructions
1. Navigate to a web page that hosts conversion software capable of changing RMJ files into MP3s.
2. Download the conversion software. If possible, download a trial or demo version of the software in order to verify that it is compatible with your system.
3. Install the software. Agree to any user's licenses or agreements.
4. Run the software.
5. Click "Locate File" or "Upload" to select and locate the RMJ file you wish to convert.
6. Select "Real Media Jukebox" or "RMJ" as your input format.
7. Select "MP3" as your output format.
8. Click "Select Folder" or "Destination Folder" and choose where you'd like the output MP3 to be located once the conversion is complete.
9. Click "Convert" or "Start." Once the conversion is done, the new MP3 file will appear in the location you selected in Step 8.
