Convert an MP3 as a ringtone to a Samsung phone.
The MP3 format is one of the most popular music formats and it is supported by most cell phones, including Samsung phones. Since most phones support the MP3 format, you can convert an existing MP3 song that you already have to a ringtone that you can use on your cell phone. With the appropriate software, you can convert an MP3 to a ringtone and put it on your Samsung phone.
Instructions
1. Open your audio editing program. Open the MP3 file that you want to convert to a ringtone by clicking on "Open" and then browsing to the file's location on your computer's hard drive. Most of the time, your MP3 files are stored in the "My Music" folder of your "My Documents."
2. Position your cursor over the image of the MP3 file and click on the points where you want your ringtone to begin and end to set the markers there. Click the "Save Selection As" button to save the marked clip as your ringtone.
3. Navigate to your email account and compose a new message addressed to your Samsung phone's 10 digit number followed by your cell phone carrier's text messaging extension (e.g. xxxxxxxxxx@vzwpix.com).
4. Attach your ringtone to the message and then, send the message to your Samsung phone. Click "View" to open the message on your Samsung phone and then, click the right soft key for "Options" and then, "Save as Ringtone" to save the ringtone to your phone.
