If you have a real media audio file with the RMJ extension, it won't be compatible with a lot of programs. MP3s, however, are compatible with most programs and softwares. If you would like to convert an RMJ file to MP3, there is a free tool that makes it easy to do so.
Instructions
1. Download the Mini-Stream RM-MP3 Converter. This tool can convert any type of Real Media audio file to MP3, including RM, RA, RAM and RMJ files, and can be downloaded for free on the Mini-Stream website (see Resources for link).
2. Install the Mini-Stream RM-MP3 Converter. Once the software is downloaded to your computer, run the Mini-Stream RM-MP3 Converter software and a simple installation set-up will run. Agree to the terms of service, choose the folder on your harddrive where you would like the program to save, and continue clicking "Next" until you get to the "Ready to Install" screen. Click the "Install" button and Mini-Stream RM-MP3 Converter will install in only a few seconds.
3. Open the Mini-Stream RM-MP3 Converter software and you will see a very small interface with only a few options. Click the "Load" button on the right side of the interface to browse for your RMJ file on your computer. When you locate the file, click "Open" to pull it into the converter. The file will open in the main "Convert" window.
4. Choose the folder where you would like for the converted MP3 file to save under the "Output to" section in the "Convert" window. The other settings in this window, such as "Quality" and "Converting Speed," can remain in their default positions. Press "OK" to begin converting.
5. Select "Batch" on the initial interface of the Mini-Stream RM-MP3 Converter if you have numerous files to convert. The "Batch convert setup" window will open and you can select an "Input" folder. Every Real Media audio file in that folder, including all of the RMJs, will be converted into MP3. Also select an "Output" folder in this window. This is the folder where all of the converted MP3s will be saved.
