Download Itunes Music On Another Brand Music Player

Download iTunes Music on Another Brand MP3 Player

If you have tried downloading songs from the iTunes Music Store and then transferring them onto any MP3 player other than the iPod, you have probably learned the harsh truth about Apple's copyright protection. MP3s from the iTunes Store contain special DRM coding intended to prevent piracy and other forms of copyright infringement, which makes it difficult to use iTunes music on competitors' MP3 players. In order to smoothly transfer your iTunes music in this manner, you will need to eliminate the DRM protection from your MP3s.

Instructions

1. Download music from the iTunes Store. The iTunes Store link appears in the left-hand column of the iTunes window. To download music, simply click the "Buy" option that appears beside song titles and album titles. All downloaded songs will appear in your "Music" library.

2. Create a playlist for your iTunes songs. Click the "+" button in the lower left corner of your iTunes window and a new playlist will appear in the column beneath "Playlists." You will need to enter a title.

3. Click to select the "Music" library in the upper right corner of your iTunes window and drag the songs onto the title of your new playlist. All of your iTunes-downloaded music should appear in this playlist.

4. Insert a blank CD into your computer's disc drive.

5. Copy your new iTunes music playlist onto the CD. Simply highlight the playlist title and click the "Burn" button in the lower right corner of the iTunes window.

6. Eject your CD after the burning process concludes.

7. Delete the downloaded songs from your iTunes library. Make sure to delete them from the "Music" library, as deleting them from the playlist alone will not remove them from iTunes.

8. Reinsert your CD.

9. Click the "Import" button in the lower right corner of the iTunes window to copy the songs back into iTunes. These new, CD-filtered versions will contain no DRM-coding, allowing you to use the files on any brand of MP3 player.
